Gone (for Laura) (PDF)

Gone (for Laura) is in memory of my close friend who was murdered by her estranged boyfriend. This version of Gone is for solo oboe, string orchestra, percussion, harp, and piano. Like the original version, Gone (for Laura) is a work that will hopefully help the listener deal with the grieving process of the death of a loved one...as it has done for the composer. Pain, anger, acceptance, and hopefully peace. Nancy King is the soloist from her Illumination album. All proceeds from the sale of this work (except the recording) will go to the Family Abuse Center in Waco, TX.
